DER MOND
STATE OPERA JAKUTSK, 2021
Opera by CARL ORFF

The opera "Der Mond" or "The Fairy Tale of the Brothers Grimm" is the Russian premiere designed as a family performance.
The production connects multiple time periods: from a medieval village to a metropolis. This story serves as a parable about human greed and the vices that control people.
The audience is situated on a revolving stage, with the orchestra in the pit, while the action unfolds in the auditorium and on stage. Scaffolding, facades, and building entrances create the illusion of a metropolis.
