Inspired by the poetry of Rose Ausländer, Seidenkoffer is an intimate song cycle for soprano and guitar and one of the projects of the collective Opera Opaque.
The piece explores what it means to look for home in a world where borders are tightening, and how personal stories of movement, loss, and belonging can shape a shared sense of world-citizenship.
Combining new music by Leon Zmelty, pop, cabaret and folk songs, Seidenkoffer creates a small space where voice and guitar reflect on memory, exile, and the resilience of finding one’s place.
