What remains when language is exhausted? Must one seek contact with the unfamiliar, and how can the fear of it be overcome? In the opera VOCI, two alien civilisations encounter each other and attempt to communicate.
The audience, initially divided into two civilisations, is invited on a joint mission, embarking on a journey through the theatre. In the form of a procession, they are led outside to send their message to the sky.
Music becomes the universal language, enabling the aliens and the audience to communicate without words, offering a new approach to interaction.
